On February 10th in 2011 - The Montana House of Representatives voted to repeal the state’s 6-year-old medical marijuana law.
On February 10th in 2012 - President Obama offered a compromise that would allow women to obtain free contraception, but would require them to obtain it directly from their insurance companies if their employers object to birth control because of religious beliefs.
On February 10th in 2013 - US Airways Group Inc and AMR Corp are merging to create the world’s biggest airline. The $11 billion deal could be finalized in a week after key management problems are resolved, Reuters reports. US Airways Chief Executive Doug Parker is thought to be inline for the future CEO spot and AMR's Tom Horton a non-executive chairman of the board.
On February 10th in 2013 - Former Vice President Dick Cheney said that President Barack Obama has compromised US national security by nominating subpar candidates for crucial cabinet posts and cutting defense spending. Cheney said Obama has nominated former Nebraska Senator Chuck Hagel as his defense secretary so that a Republican could “take the heat for what he plans to do at the Department of Defense.” He further charged the security situation in the Middle East and North Africa has deteriorated under Obama’s watch.
