On June 6th in 1925 Walter Percy Chrysler founded the Chrysler Corporation. 

On June 6th in 1932 A U.S. Federal gas tax was enacted.

On June 6th in 1933 The U.S. Congress passed the National Employment Service, creating a national system of public employment offices.

On June 6th in 1934 President Franklin Roosevelt signed the Securities Exchange Act, establishing the Securities and Exchange Commission.

On June 6th in 1941 The U.S. government authorized the seizure of foreign ships in U.S. ports.

On June 6th in 1942 The 1st nylon parachute jump was made in Hartford, Ct., by Adeline Gray.
