On February 15th in 1758 - The 1st mustard manufactured in America was advertised in Philadelphia.Mustard was advertised for the first time in America.

On February 15th in 1764 - The city of St. Louis was established as a French trading post. Pierre Laclede Ligue and stepson Auguste Chouteau notched a couple of trees that marked the site for Laclede’s Landing that became St. Louis.

On February 15th in 1798 - The first serious fist fight occurred in Congress.

On February 15th in 1799 - Printed ballots were authorized for use in elections in the state of Pennsylvania.

On February 15th in 1804 - New Jersey became the last northern state to abolish slavery.

On February 15th in 1842 - Adhesive postage stamps were used for the first time by the City Dispatch Post (Office) in New York City.
