On April 12th in 2005 President Bush visited soldiers at Fort Hood, Texas, marking the two-year anniversary of the end of Saddam Hussein's regime.

On April 12th in 2005 The US Commerce Dept. said the US trade deficit, aggravated by surging imports of oil and textiles, soared to an all-time high of $61.04 billion in February.
